What can we say about Family Force 5 that we haven't said already? We
love these guys, for many reasons. When they are on Warped Tour, they are the band every photographer wants to shoot
because of the high energy performance they always bring to the stage. Their music is a must if you want to dance, or
if you need your mood lifted in any way. The best way to explain FF5 is in one word......P-A-R-T-Y!
Family Force 5 released 'Dance or Die' in 2008, and they have toured endlessly
in support of this release. Their 'Dance Rawr Dance' tour is in its third edition, and I could see it several more times
without it ever getting old. They will be jumping into their Christmas shows shortly after DRD III ends in support of
their Christmas remix album entitled 'Family Force 5 Christmas Pageant' and I don't expect anything to slow down for our favorite
Southern crunk-rock band anytime soon.
We had the pleasure of sitting down with Chapstique at the beginning of the
Dance Rawr Dance III tour in Raleigh, NC recently to talk about all things FF5. Check out our audio interview below.

This Providence holds a special place in our hearts here at Rock On Request
since they were one of the first bands we ever interviewed. We saw them live that first night and were very impressed,
to say the least. That was a few years ago, and it was great to see them perform again recently when they rolled through
our town. The band released their album 'Who Are You Now' in March of 2009, and they've been more than busy on the road
with stints on this summer's Warped Tour, the Let's Make a Mess Tour alongside Hey Monday, and now currently touring in direct
support of Cartel. Trust me when I say these guys are a dedicated, hard-working and talented bunch.
We caught up with drummer Andy Horst on the tour and sat down for a great interview.
On a side note, I just want to add that I don't think I've ever seen a drummer who smiled all the way through his set like
Andy did that night. That just makes you feel good. To hear our full audio interview, click the link below.

Arizona natives The Summer Set are a fun, young band that we had the pleasure
of being introduced to recently. If you haven't listened to them yourselves yet, this is the band for all of our pop-punk
readership to check out. They are quickly becoming popular in their demographic after touring alongside bands like The
Cab, A Rocket To The Moon, The Secret Handshake, Cartel, This Providence and more. After seeing them live recently,
I can understand why young music fans are drawn to their style. They look like the kids that they would hang out at
the mall with, they have a girl drummer, their music is fun and infectious, and their female fans are quite happy with the
male members of the band. Sounds like a winning combination to me.
I was able to sit down with frontman Brian Dales and guitarist John Gomez before
their show at The Lincoln Theater in Raleigh, and they were great to talk with. Hear the full interview here:

Imagine being 13 and getting discovered for your singing ability. Then,
imagine still being in your teens and playing the clubs on the Sunset Strip circuit in L.A. Oh, and then you are signed
to a record deal with Sony Music Japan and start touring overseas. These are all things that a young girl named Becca
from Portland, Oregon has had the beauty of experiencing. I could go on and on about her many accomplishments, but I
think her music speaks for itself.
There are plenty of female artists in the industry whose main attraction is
physical rather than actual talent. Becca is a triple threat; she is cute, very sweet and extremely talented.
She is someone young girls can look up to for her drive and talent, and parents can be happy that she isn't the subject of
constant tabloid coverage for one reason or another. Most of all, you won't be able to get her songs out of your head
once you start listening to them.
On the verge of releasing her first full-length album 'Alive' in the U.S. in
2010, Becca spoke with Rock On Request about her early success and what's in store for her this coming year.

Something has always struck me as interesting in the music business. Every
U.S. based artist I interview has said at one point or another how much they love touring overseas. The fans in other
countries are hungry for U.S. music and embrace our bands with wide open arms. I remember wondering awhile back if there
was a lack of talent suddenly in those areas, but clearly that isn't the case. I know this because while U.S. bands
are touring elsewhere, U.K. native John Garrison decided to uproot his entire life to bring himself to New York... and John
is as talented as they come.
John Garrison is a very skilled lyricist and performer, and his latest album
'Departures' showcases his talent very well. He has worked in the studio with Leona Lewis, gone on a world tour with
James Blunt, and all the while he consistently turns out great music. It is soothing and heartfelt, and has definitely
earned a permanent spot in my MP3 rotation. I spoke with John recently about his move to the states, the new release
and what the future holds for him.
